Perris brothers arrested for multiple weapons violations

Two brothers from Perris were arrested on Monday for a slew of alleged weapons violations, according to investigators. 
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, deputies with the Perris Sheriff’s Station had identified a wanted felon at a home in the 1600 block of Alberhill Street in Perris. 
They say that Raymond Martinez, 24, and his brother Ulyses Martinez, 22, were at a home in the area when they arrived on Monday in order to take the elder brother into custody on an active felony warrant. 
“However, he ran attempting to escape arrest,” said a statement from Riverside County deputies who “were able to take him into custody inside the garage.”
While making the arrest, deputies reporting seeing ballistic vests, an assault rifle and ammunition inside. 
They were able to obtain a search warrant for the home and during the investigation they located 10 firearms, several ballistic vests and ballistic plates, 24 rifles and pistol magazines, hundreds of live ammunitions in different calibers, miscellaneous gun parts and items “indicative of weapons manufacturing,” the statement said. 
Additionally, they reportedly found 60 pounds of processed marijuana and more than 1,100 grams of concentrated marijuana. They estimate the street value of the products to be around $73,000, according to the department’s Marijuana Eradication Team. 
Both brothers were booked at Cois Byrd Detention Center for multiple weapons charges. They are expected to be filed with the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office, deputies said.
